Terms of rates and transportation

Allgäu-Airport-Express


The subsequent rates are valid for ‘Allgäu-Airport-Express’ bus lines from Munich to the Allgaeu Airport in Memmingem, from Munich via the Allgaeu Airport in Memminge, St. Gallen to Zurich and  operated by Allgäu Airport Express GmbH, D-87766 Memmingerberg, Am Flughafen 90 (in the following named Allgäu-Airport-Express) or their subcontractors.

1 Tickets
One-way tickets are valid for the respective journey and have the date printed on them. Each valid ticket enables the passenger to occupy one seat during the booked journey. Advanced sale tickets carry the name of the passenger on them and are not transferable.

1.1 Purchase of tickets
Tickets may be purchased either directly from the bus driver or as an advance sale ticket via the Internet. Moreover tickets may be purchased with vendors via their sales channels. The passenger must make sure that the purchase does not exceed the credit card value or PayPal credit.

1.2 Ticket control and ready for inspection by Allgäu-Airport-Express staff.
A passenger who does not have a valid ticket will be penalized and must pay double the price of the regular fare with a minimum of at least 40,- €. Moreover, a passenger without a valid ticket must declare his/her personal data and ID or passport if asked.

1.4 Ticket booking changes
Change of reservation with short notice (up to 24 hours prior to journey): free of charge
Change of reservation less than 24 hours prior to journey : not possible

Cancellation up to 24 hours prior to journey: 10,--Euro / ticket cancellation fees
Cancellation less than 24 hours prior to journey: 15,--Euro / ticket cancellation fees
Cancellation within 12 hours prior to journey cannot be considered.
Tickets with a value of less than 17 € per person will not be refunded.



2 Methods of payment
Tickets may be bought from the bus driver and paid for in EURO. The driver accepts bills of up to 50,- € if change is desired. If the ticket is purchased on the Internet, the price is paid by credit card or PayPal. Vendors from outside of the company may determine their own methods of payment. If available, cashless means of payment may be accepted.



3 Ticket prices

4 Transport of children and babies
Children from 0 - 2 years travel free of charge. Children from 3 years of age up to 12 years need to purchase a children ticket. Children without icket have no right for a seperate seat.

5 Luggage
Each passenger may have one piece of hand luggage in the passenger compartment with him/her and one piece of luggage in the luggage compartment of the bus. If there is enough space, more pieces of luggage may be transported in the luggage compartment. In this case, a luggage ticket must be bought with the bus driver.

5.1 Properties of luggage
Hand luggage may not exceed the dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm. Hand luggage may be stored in the passenger compartment but not on a seat. The passenger must pack luggage items in a suitable way that does not cause damage during the usual conditions of the trip. Fragile objects must be packed with extra special care for transportation. Allgäu-Airport-Express is not liable for any damages concerning fragile objects. Each luggage item stored in the luggage compartment must carry the identification of the owner, i.e. name, address and telephone number.

5.2 Prams, bicycles and bulky luggage
Prams count as luggage and are subject to the above mentioned regulations. Bicycle transportation may be denied by Allgäu-Airport-Express.If a passenger wants to take a bicycle, s/he must receive the acceptance of Allgäu-Aiport-Express; One may ask for permision four days before the journey.

Bulky luggage such as bikes, SNB, Skis, Golf Clubs etc. has an extra charge and must be announced in advance. We will transport this baggage in the bottom luggage space of the bus. In case of safety problems or lack of space, each bus driver may decline the transport of such luggage.

5.3 Pets
Small pets, which are transported in suitable containers, count as a piece of luggage and are subject to the above-mentioned regulations. If one does not own the appropriate container for a large pet, transportation will not be allowed. Exempt from this regulation are guide dogs and dogs of passengers who have special permission to carry their dog with them. The passenger remains responsible for his/her pet and is its caretaker.

5.4 Dangerous and inappropriate luggage
Upon boarding the bus, the ticket must be shown to the bus driver. The passenger may be asked to show his/her passport or ID. Tickets may be checked until the end of the journey. Please keep tickets available at any time.

5.5 Right of inspection
Due to security reasons, Allgäu-Airport-Express is allowed to inspect a passenger’s luggage. If a passenger denies the inspection, Allgäu-Airport-Express has the right to deny the transportation of his/her luggage.
Allgäu-Airport-Express has the right to deny luggage transportation that does not correspond to the above-mentioned conditions. If the passenger decides to not travel due to this denial, Allgäu-Airport-Express cannot be held liable. All costs must be paid.

5.7 Lost or forgotten luggage, lost property
Lost luggage or other lost property will be kept at the headquarters of Allgäu-Airport-Express for one month. Passengers may collect lost items at these headquarters in the Lost and Found. Sending lost property or taking it to an agreed upon place for collection by the owner is subject to free agreement between the passenger and Allgäu-Airport-Express. Allgäu-Airport-Express will charge an appropriate compensation in that case. After one month,  Allgäu-Airport-Express may dispose  the lost property freely. Allgäu-Airport-Express tries to contact the passenger in order to communicate the loss of his/her property. Allgäu-Airport-Express is not responsible for further investigation if the luggage is not signed properly with a name and an address.

5.8 Obligation of luggage check
Before bus departure, the passenger is obliged to check whether the luggage has been stored safely. Upon arrival, the passenger is obliged to take care of his/her luggage immediately. Moreover, it is the task of the passenger to check possible short-term notice changes in the timetable using the Internet. Schedule changes in the timetable may be possible up to 24 hours before departure.

5.9 Liability
Allgäu-Airport-Express is not liable in case of theft, pilferage or damage of hand luggage. The passenger is obliged to take care of his/her own hand luggage.
With respect to luggage stored in the luggage compartment, Allgäu-Airport-Express is only liable for damage in cases of deliberate intention or gross negligence.
Allgäu-Airport-Express’ damage liability covers up to max. 3 times the ticket value, and in no case exceeds this expenditure.

6 Exclusion of claim for compensation
Changes in schedule and/or trip cancellations due to traffic conditions, business disruption or operational disturbance, Allgäu-Airport-Express will not be held liable for compensation. Specifically, the guarantee of reaching flight connections will not be given. As a consequence, changes in schedule or trip cancellations will be compensated only for the original ticket price. Allgäu-Airport-Express always tries to provide vehicle capacity according to demand. If in rare case that there is not enough passenger space on the bus, Allgäu-Airport-Express is only obliged to transport passengers with advanced booking.
